I’m a watch enthusiast as well as an automotive journalist but my day job is that of a video game producer. In my podcast series I’ll be exploring the wonderful world of watches - ranging from ADs to watchmakers, collectors and enthusiast, as we talk about current watch industry topics, discuss new releases, and go behind the curtain to learn new and exciting things! Fun is a priority, so we don’t take ourselves too seriously and that’s because this is something we do for fun, born from a place of passion for the hobby.

I’m joined by Nicholas Bowman - Scargill, who in 2016 revived his family’s Brunswick-based watch brand known as Fears. Today he’s its managing director and he walks us through the origins of Fears and his family’s long standing connection to the brand.
Nicholas also explains what it truly means to revive a legacy vs starting from scratch, and the responsibility that comes with stewarding a name passed down through 4 generations.
We also talk about his time at Rolex, British watchmaking today, design philosophy, personal style, and discover how his grandfather had a hand in giving the legendary Concorde airplane, windows. You heard right!
To close this out we of course talk about the exciting collaborations Fears had been a part of, the creative approach, and also what’s next for Fears as a brand!
